Rare Disease Activity Weekend - A Fully Inclusive Activity Break For People With A Rare Disease.

Bendrigg Trust are excited to be hosting an action packed activity weekend for families with any kind of rare disease.

This short break is an extension of our award winning family courses, but with a focus on bringing together people with a rare disease.

Price : £240 per person (Price includes accommodation, food and a full programme of accessible activities) Please note Bendrigg have heavily subsidised the cost of this trip with funding to help make it affordable for all.

Bendrigg activity breaks are wonderful way to spend quality time together as a family whilst having tonnes of fun and meeting new people.

Our short breaks provide the opportunity to :

- Spend time together as a family and make precious memories trying a range of accessible activities such as : climbing, canoeing & zip wire.

- Time to socialise and meet other families.

- Enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of the Lake District & Yorkshire Dales National Parks.

Accommodation

Our accessible accommodation has aids like ceiling mounted tracking hoists, shower beds, wet rooms and profile beds. Please speak to a member of our team before you book and let us know your requirements and additional needs.

Food

Meals are provided throughout the duration of the course from our fantastic cooks and we will cater for any dietary requirements – please make us aware of these when you book and on your medical consent forms.

What experience does Bendrigg Trust have of providing activities for people with a rare disease?

Bendrigg Trust specialises in providing outdoor activities for people of ALL abilities! We use a range of specialist equipment to ensure that everyone who would like to take part in the activities can do so safely. Our staff team have the knowledge and experience to enable everyone to experience everything they would like to during their trip.

We have welcomed over 100,000 visitors to Bendrigg in over 4o years of service provision, that includes many people with rare conditions including DDX3X, Ataxia, Addison’s, Charcot-Marie-Tooth, Cri-du-chat, Cystic Fibrosis & Muscular Dystrophy to name but a few.
