Accessible Adventures - Disability Awareness, Accessibility and Inclusion for Outdoor Instructors

This one-day course is designed for outdoor instructors and those interested in a career in the outdoors who want to build inclusive practice into their work. Whether you are just starting out or already experienced, this training will help you create more accessible and welcoming outdoor experiences.

You will take part in interactive discussions and a technical outdoor activity to explore how to adapt your approach and break down barriers to participation.

You will leave feeling confident in:

  • Planning and delivering inclusive outdoor activities
  • Inclusive language and terminology
  • Communication techniques
  • Understanding the impact of disability
  • Using adaptive coaching techniques and equipment
  • Designing accessible sessions for all abilities

Time: 9:30am to 4:00p

Cost: £140 per person / £100 charity and education rate.
