Know before you go – Online workshop introducing inclusive pre-visit information

Join us for this 90-minute online workshop exploring inclusive pre-visit information and the role it plays in supporting visitors to make informed decisions.

Access doesn’t start at the door. For many disabled people, deciding whether to visit a venue begins long before they arrive and is often shaped by the information available beforehand.

Co-produced and co-led by the Beyond Bendrigg team, and people with lived experience of disability. In this session, we’ll explore how clear, relevant, and honest pre-visit information can help people feel more confident about attending, reduce uncertainty, and remove some of the barriers that might otherwise stop them from taking part.

Drawing on our experience of delivering inclusive sessions, visiting venues, and hearing directly from lived experience, we’ll help you think about:

  • What information people are really looking for before they visit
  • How small changes can have a big impact on confidence and access

This workshop is designed to help you creating genuinely welcoming and inclusive spaces, starting with the information you provide before someone even arrives.
