Disability Awareness Training 

Bendrigg are a leading specialist outdoor centre for people with disabilities and from disadvantaged backgrounds with over 40 years of working with people of all abilities.  

Our Disability Awareness Training is designed to increase awareness of, and build confidence around, working with people with disabilties, to create a more inclusive environment for everyone.

Topics covered on the first day will include terminology, models of disability, barriers to participation, communication and more. The following 2 days will cover activity specific training. You will develop your understanding of how best to deliver adventurous activities for individuals with disabilities whilst also learning how specialist equipment can be correctly used.

This 3 day course will include a mix of practical activities, discussion, workshops, videos and theory as well as applying what you've learnt to real scenarios and experiences.

Each day runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm and includes lunch. The price is £320 per person.
