Climbing weekend

Climbing Weekend

2 Night Break

A FULLY INCLUSIVE CLIMBING WEEKEND FOR PEOPLE WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY

The Bendrigg Climbing weekend is a fantastic opportunity to come away for a short break and enjoy lots of fun filled climbing activities with other likeminded people. You'll have plenty of opportunities to get on the wall and there will be coaches and Tutors there every step of the way to help give you guidance to take your climbing skills to the next level.

There'll be lots of time to socialise and make new friends whilst in a friendly and safe environment at Bendrigg Trust.

When is it?

Our 2025 festival dates :  21st  -23rd November 2025

Who is it for?

The weekend is open to anyone aged 13+ who has:

Never climbed before but wants to give it a go
Done a little bit of climbing but want to progress further
Done lots of climbing and want to improve their skills

How much does it cost?
The price per person is our bed and board cost which everyone will be asked to pay (including buddies or carers). The full programme of climbing workshops and training sessions will be provided free of charge thanks to sponsorship funding. Meals are included and provided throughout the duration of the course from our fantastic cooks and we will cater for any dietary requirements - please make us aware of these at your earliest convenience.

What will I be doing?
Workshops will mostly consist of activities to improve your climbing skills such as movement, improving safety and lead climbing. The programme will also include social activities that are relevant to climbing. A climbing competition will be held on Sunday morning with a presentation of medals and certificates before departure.
