Caving weekend for people with disabilities
A fully inclusive caving weekend for people with disabilities
Come and join us for a caving weekend like no other!
The weekend is a fantastic opportunity to come away for a short break and enjoy lots of fun filled caving activities with other likeminded people. You'll have plenty of opportunities to get on underground and there will be Tutors there every step of the way to help give you guidance to take your caving skills to the next level.
There'll be lots of time to socialise and make new friends whilst in a friendly and safe environment at Bendrigg Trust.
When is it?
From 4pm on Friday 21st until 2pm on Sunday 23rd November 2025.
Who is it for?
The weekend is open to anyone with or without disabilities, including groups of friends, individuals & carers (if required) and families with children aged 10+. People with all levels of caving experience from beginners to advanced are welcome.
Have you:
never caved before but want to give it a go?
done some caving but want to experience different caves?
How much does it cost?
The weekend costs £180 per person and this includes accommodation, food and a full programme of caving activities. Meals are included and provided throughout the duration of the course from our fantastic cooks and we will cater for any dietary requirements - please make us aware of these at your earliest convenience.
If you do not need a subsidised place, please consider paying the full price. This is entirely at your discretion. Paying full price will allow more individuals, schools and charities to experience the magic of Bendrigg.
What will I be doing?
Days out underground to new caves, as well as evening activities including our indoor cave system, and a presentation from a caver with a disability.
Where will I stay?
The accommodation for the weekend is in our main Lodge. Our virtual tour should hopefully give you more of a feel for the accommodation and our site in general: https://www.360imagery.co.uk/virtualtour/residential/bendrigg_trust/
Lakes and Clouds corridors are wheelchair accessible and have aids such as ceiling mounted tracking hoists, shower beds, wet rooms and profile beds. Please let us know your requirements upon booking.
How Do I Book?
